JESSICA L. SCHROER, FOUNDER

Jessica has spent her career driving measurable Marketing Operations service and P&L improvements across government, franchise, and nonprofit industries. She began her career in Field Marketing and then grew into Global Operations leadership roles across a variety of large accounts, spanning multiple agencies, and across holding companies while supporting multiple clients across complex businesses. 

Jessica’s greatest strength is her ability to build the right team and then operationalize the right go-to-market plan while working closely with the broader product operations team. She intuitively knows which world-class marketing experts to activate to drive awareness and sales of products and services while building advocates in the industry. 

Her steady leadership is evident as she sees clearly in chaos. She can quickly build sustainable processes and procedures while not becoming overly burdensome to the teams and not losing the heart of the individual or the idea. She focuses on holding teams accountable, from deadline compliance to delivery excellence. Jessica is naturally curious and is a quick study within any industry she works in. 

 Her client experience spans from Bud Light to Hardees, Burger King (both client & agency), Top of the Rock Observation Deck, the United States Army, the United States Army National Guard, Verizon Wireless, and Lindenwood University in addition to non-profits. 

Jessica believes strongly that life is a constant lesson — if you aren’t learning, you aren’t living. This is evident in Jessica’s abundant personal and professional life. Personally, Jessica volunteers with programs that focus on learning and personal development, such as Mountain Top Ministries and the Faith Coalition. Professionally, she is constantly adapting to the diverse tasks she must accomplish daily. Jessica enjoys coaching and mentoring team members while empowering them to stretch beyond their comfort zones to learn. 

In 2019, Jessica founded The Hummingbird Group, a consulting firm that focuses on supporting nonprofit and small businesses. She helps clients develop the foundational elements needed to support their business.

Jessica received her B.A. in corporate communications and her M.S. in industrial communications with an emphasis in marketing from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. She received her Contract Management Certificate from St. Louis University. In addition, Jessica has completed online courses in Public Speaking Training & Facilitating, How to Resolve Unresolvable Conflicts in Non-Profits, Planning Risk Management and Grant Writing: Keys to Successful Proposal.

In what little free time she has, Jessica enjoys traveling both stateside and abroad, reading, cross-stitching, spending time with her family and fur babies, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
